REMARKS FROM THE FLOOR

Assemblywoman Giunchigliani requested that Assemblywoman Cegavske's remarks be entered in the Journal.
On May 2, 1997, Mrs. Teri Cram, wife of Superintendent Brian Cram of the Clark County School District, passed away. Monday, she was laid to rest.
As today is Teacher Appreciation Day, I thought it would be fitting to recognize Teri for the outstanding teacher that she was. I had the privilege of being her room parent for several years, and I also had both of my children in her third-grade classroom. Her compassion and her love of teaching accounted for the success of her students. Teri was known for her hugs. The young men who, in the beginning of the year, would try to run by her or to just shake her hand because they didn't want to be hugged, by the end of the year went to her asking for a hug.
I do believe that a teacher makes a difference in your life, and Teri made a difference in my children's lives and mine, as an adult. Without objection, Mr. Speaker, I would request that we adjourn today in memory of Teri Cram. Thank you.

GUESTS EXTENDED PRIVILEGE OF ASSEMBLY FLOOR

On request of Assemblywoman Lambert, the privilege of the floor of the Assembly Chamber for this day was extended to Michael Neilon.

On request of Assemblyman Nolan, the privilege of the floor of the Assembly Chamber for this day was extended to Valerie Coplin.

On request of Assemblyman Price, the privilege of the floor of the Assembly Chamber for this day was extended to Darrell Rudolph.

On request of Assemblyman Williams, the privilege of the floor of the Assembly Chamber for this day was extended to Zelda Puryear-Williams.

Assemblyman Perkins moved that the Assembly adjourn until Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at 11 a.m., and that it do so in memory of Teri Cram.
Motion carried.
